Bombers Strike Out Cancer Night
The Sedalia Bombers are once again doing more than play the game of baseball. Tonight, the Bombers are hosting Bombers Strike Out Cancer Night. The event was originally scheduled for June 4th, but has been rained out two times now. Fitting that the event gets pushed back to the day after Cancer Survivors Day. The team will be wearing exclusive pink uniforms that will be auctioned off with all proceeds going to Triple Negative Breast Cancer Foundation in honor of the aunt of Jud Kindle's (Bombers GM) wife, Jill Kindle. Jill Kindle's aunt passed away from cancer. It is said that Cancer has in one way or another affected every family. Tonight the Sedalia Bombers family is doing their best to raise funds and awareness about cancer with your help.
The Bombers will be hosting the Clarinda A's tonight at Liberty Park/Dey Field. The first pitch is scheduled for 7:00pm.
The MLB draft starts tonight, and with the MINK league's history of players being drafted this could be your last time to catch some of these great athletes. You could even go home with a jersey of a possibly future major leaguer in the process.
