Sedalia Bombers Mid Season Recap
Tonight (June 22), the Sedalia Bombers take on the Joplin Outlaws at Liberty Park Stadium Dey Field. The Bombers come into tonight’s game sitting at 8-6 winning three of their last four. They dropped last nights game vs. the Nevada Griffons 4-3.
Tonight's match up is a home game ,and the last two home games starting pitching has been outstanding. With Justin Murphey out of Mineral Area College pitching seven innings and only gave up three hits, one run, struck out ten, and got the win last Monday June 15th vs. the St. Joseph Mustangs. Next was Sam Perez out of Missouri State University. He got his start pushed back multiple games due to rain outs, but safe to say it didn’t affect him. Perez threw seven shutout innings only gave up three hits, and struck out 11 this past Thursday against the Branson Nationals. The game tonight vs. the Outlaws has the first pitch slated for 7:00.
Earlier this season, the Bombers faced off vs. tonight's foe. They defeated the Outlaws 19-3 back on Wednesday, June 3rd in Joplin. They also had two rematch games scheduled on June 4th and 5th, with the first of those matchups re-scheduled to today (June 22), and the next rescheduled to July 15th.
The Bombers are currently in 4th place in the MINK League North, trailing the league leading St. Joseph Mustangs by 4.5 games.
