Littlejohn Apprehended

UPDATE: "Nicholas Scott Littlejohn was apprehended near 38311 VV Highway at 12:42 a.m. Wednesay, due to the efforts of teamwork involving the Benton County Sheriff’s Office, Pettis County K9 teams, MSHP troopers and MSHP air unit. Littlejohn was called in by a homeowner allowing us a fresh start on our hunt. Littlejohn has plagued the south end of our county for some time," said Sheriff Eric Knox.

"James E. Shaw III, 45 of Edwards, was also arrested last evening for his involvement in the Littlejohn thefts. I am confident that at least one or more arrests will be forthcoming in the near future for the others that are involved. I will keep you posted as information becomes available," Knox said.

As of 6:16 a.m., Tuesday, Benton County authorities continued to search for Nicholas Littlejohn.

Benton County Law Enforcement was pursuing a male subject in the area of Hannah Avenue near Poorboy on Monday afternoon. A drone was employed in the search.

Nicholas Littlejohn is described as a white male, last seen wearing a hooded jacket and all camo.

The subject is considered armed and dangerous.

“Please avoid this area and if you live in this area make sure your vehicles and homes are secured. If you have any information on this subject or his whereabouts please contact 9-1-1. Do not attempt to apprehend or approach the subject,” said Benton County 911.

Benton County Sheriff Eric Knox posted the following late Tuesday afternoon:

Nicholas Scott Littlejohn, 30 of Edwards Mo., is wanted for questioning in relation to a series of thefts and burglaries, as well as several stolen vehicles in Benton and surrounding counties. We have reason to believe he and a couple of others are working together. Littlejohn has been the subject of several pursuits all over Benton County.

On 2/6/2023 Littlejohn fired a weapon at the pursing deputy which ended near Poorboy and Hannah Avenue in Warsaw. Littlejohn fled on foot, law enforcement officers from Benton and Pettis County as well as tracking dogs and a drone were used in the search. The rough terrain and creek bottom did not aid us in the track. Littlejohn is no longer believed to be in the search area.

"My thanks to Warsaw P.D, the Pettis County Sheriff’s Office and Sedalia P.D, for their assistance and the use of their drone and to the MSHP for their quick response. Littlejohn remains on the run and will be looking to steal another vehicle to flee the area. Please make sure that your vehicles, garages, and homes are locked. Littlejohn should be considered armed and dangerous, if you see Littlejohn, or know of his whereabouts, please contact the Benton County Central Dispatch at 660-438-9555, law enforcement would love to visit with him," Sheriff Knox said.
