Six Arrested in Pre-Dawn Raid Near Lincoln
In the pre-dawn hours of Saturday Nov. 9, the Benton County Sheriff’s Office, Mid Missouri Drug Task Force and special response teams from Pettis County and Bates County Sheriff’s Office served a no-knock search warrant on a property located on Crawford Avenue, a rural Lincoln Missouri address.
More than 25 law enforcement officers breached three structures and two travel trailers simultaneously. Seven adults and three children were found in various areas of our search with one female resisting arrest. She was taken into custody with minor injuries.
The search warrant represents many months of investigation and hundreds of man hours which were rewarded with over a pound of methamphetamine, stolen firearms, 24 seized vehicles which included mostly motorcycles, poached white tail buck heads cut from the bodies of the animals and other illegal items.
Donald Schofield, Melinda Turner, Jacob Knapp, Kenneth Turner, Holly Boyer, and Kenneth Boyer, Sr., were all arrested and charged with drug and firearms offenses.
Bonds ranged from $50,000 to $250,000. More charges for the stolen weapons and vehicles as well as child endangerment will be forthcoming soon, as the investigation continues.
“It will take days to sort through all the evidence and assign it to the appropriate suspect,” Benton County Sheriff Eric Knox said.
“My sincere appreciation to all involved, especially the men and women of the Bates County and Pettis County Sheriff’s Office,” Sheriff Knox added.
