KIX 105, 92.3 BOB-FM and Newstalk 1050 KSIS along with the Red Cross hosted a blood drive on Friday, Dec. 20 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. We went over to the Knights of Columbus on Friday to encourage people to give the gift of life.  The strange weather didn't keep Sedalia away from helping their fellow man! Here's some photos of the blood drive and all the fun we had.

Every two seconds someone in the U.S. needs blood. More than 41,000 blood donations are needed every day. A total of 30 million blood components are transfused each year in the U.S. The blood type most often requested by hospitals is Type O. The blood used in an emergency is already on the shelves before the event occurs.

Donating blood is a safe process. A sterile needle is used only once for each donor and then discarded. So donate today and help save lives. Make sure you keep your eyes peeled here at our radio station's website, and we'll keep you informed of when you can donate blood next.

Donatingly yours,
Behka
