A Missouri Restaurant Will Be Featured On ‘America’s Best Restaurant’

I have tried to explore as many local restaurants in our listening area as I can.  I thank you listeners for all of the suggestions.  There has not been a lack of options when it comes to places to dine in Sedalia, Warrensburg, Knob Noster, Cole Camp and we will be headed to Marshall in the near future.

A drive to Columbia Missouri will have to be in the cards for me soon, if for no other reason than because a restaurant that is still thriving after 88 years.  It will be featured on 'America's Best Restaurant'.  This is a YouTube series that has them traveling all across the country looking for restaurants to feature on their weekly series and on social media.  You can subscribe to their series HERE.

Ernie's Cafe & Steakhouse has been around since 1934. Known for breakfast and lunch only. They advertise themselves as the oldest full-service restaurant in Columbia. You can read a little more about their upcoming adventure HERE. I can't believe I have never eaten here, since I had lived in Columbia for 4 years.

According to their website which you can check out HERE, it is a European style seated restaurant and voted “Best of Columbia” for breakfast by readers of Inside Columbia magazine every year since 2008.  Open 7 days a week and there are gift cards available.  If you want to learn a bit more about their history, you can click HERE.  Congratulations to them on being featured and for being in business for this long. Sounds like a place that we need to check out.
