Competing with entries submitted by colleges and universities across the nation, the University of Central Missouri captured two Gold, one Silver and one Bronze award in the Higher Education Marketing Report’s 30th Annual Educational Advertising Awards. Award winners in the nation’s largest educational advertising awards competition were announced in March.

Setting an example as a skilled teacher and mentor who cares about student success, Patricia Antrim, Ph.D., MLS, is being honored with the highest form of recognition the University of Central Missouri bestows upon a faculty member. She will receive the Byler Distinguished Faculty Award during a ceremony from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 28 in Elliott Student Union, Rooms 237A-B.

Mules Football will host their 18th annual Golf Classic on Friday, June 5 at Hidden Pines Country Club in Warrensburg.
Registration for the first flight begins at 7:30 a.m. with an 8 a.m. shotgun start, while the second flight registration is set for 12:30 p.m. with a shotgun start of 1 p.m.  The tournament format is a four-man scramble and the cost is $600 per team or $150 per single ($250 for a single that wants to play both flights). All proceeds go directly to the Mules Football program.

Central Missouri track and field junior Heavin Warner, set a new NCAA Division II record in the Hammer Throw event, tossing the sphere 220' 7". Her record shattered the old mark of 212' 9" set at the NCAA Championships in 2002.
