Missouri State Fairgrounds

On Thursday, October 16th, MOPAC Caboose 12099 will be moved from its current location on the Missouri State Fairgrounds to its new home at the south end of the historic Katy Depot complex.

The Pettis County Juvenile Drug Court is working with the Central Missouri Harley Owners Group and lots of people just like you to have some fun for a great cause this weekend.

The Sedalia Area Chamber of Commerce is having their Ladies' Night Out on Thursday, Sept. 25. It's become a bigger and bigger event every year, and it's just part of what the Chamber of Commerce does to get you out and about while enjoying some distinguished fun!

Every year, we see lots of different events to help different charities. Some of them are dinners, some of them are sales, and some of them are walks. One of the longstanding traditions in our area is a distinctive walk - the Walk to End Alzheimer's.

Jake Owen has been to the Missouri State Fair Pepsi Grandstand stage before, and if you were there, you certainly remember what an awesome show it was.  If you weren't, you missed a great show with a lot of unexpected moments - including when Jake went out in the crowd!

Beatlemania is a term that originated during the 1960s to describe the intense fan frenzy directed toward British rock band The Beatles during the early years of their success. The word is similar to the much earlier term Lisztomania, used to describe fan reaction to the concerts of pianist Franz Liszt.

Everyone looks forward to Independence Day.  Fireworks, music, history, great food and friendship.. it's all there.

The Fourth of July is one of my favorite times of the year. I love to check out the various firework stands and of course see the big fireworks displays in the area. One thing about people here in our area - we love getting dirty.  We love being out in nature, and we love action packed sporting events.  Lucky for us, we have all three of those elements coming together this weekend for the Mike Burkhalter Memorial Truck and Tractor pull will be on Saturday, June 7 on the Missouri State Fairgrounds.
