Beatlemania is a term that originated during the 1960s to describe the intense fan frenzy directed toward British rock band The Beatles during the early years of their success. The word is similar to the much earlier term Lisztomania, used to describe fan reaction to the concerts of pianist Franz Liszt. So of course, a show that bills itself as being the HEIGHT of that crazy must be amazing, right?  That's just what's coming to the Missouri State Fairgrounds on Tuesday night. The Pepsi Grandstand will be transported back in time with this amazing show.

Beatlemania Live has four complete, authentic costume changes to accompany the music from every Beatles era: Ed Sullivan, Shea Stadium, Sgt. Pepper and Abbey Road! Broadway lights and sound, with Multi-Media production, featuring: Rear-image projection, strobe lights and clouds of billowing fog to present a dazzling show!!They also use the original model guitars and drums as used by the Beatles in combination with theatrical make-up, original costumes, and stage choreography to authentically recreate the image of a live Beatles concert! I got to talk with John Preston, the Beatlemania Live! bandleader, about the show and what you can expect this Tuesday night.

So for those of you who are Beatle fans like me, who were maybe too young to see them live, or maybe just missed your chance while they were around - go see the next best thing, so close you'll swear it was The Beatles. You can check out their website complete with video and get a taste of the action!  Get your tickets now for only $10!

Fab-ly yours,
Behka
