One thing about people here in our area - we love getting dirty.  We love being out in nature, and we love action packed sporting events.  Lucky for us, we have all three of those elements coming together this weekend for the Mike Burkhalter Memorial Truck and Tractor pull will be on Saturday, June 7 on the Missouri State Fairgrounds.

The Dream Factory has been set up to brighten the lives and encourage hope for children and young adults who have either life limiting or life threatening conditions, or who suffer from severe disabilities. They  do this by making their wishes come true!  Any dream is possible and when The Dream Factory says it will take on the challenge of making a wish come true, then they'll do everything in our power to make it happen in the shortest possible time.  But as you might figure, these dreams sometimes take funding to become reality.  That's where you can help.  The Mike Burkhalter Memorial Truck and Tractor pull will be on Saturday, June 7, and I got to talk with one of the organizers, Jim Aubrey, about the event and how it'll help the kids of the Dream Factory.

The 24th annual Sanctioned Truck and Tractor Pull (MSTPA and MMTTPA rules apply) will begin at 7:00 p.m.  The gates open at 5:00 p.m. and the pit area opens at 2:30 p.m.  The cost for general admission is $12, pit admission is $15, kids 6-10 are $5 and under 6 years of age get in free.  The ticket booth will be open at 5:00 p.m. the day of the event. This is a charity event and all proceeds will benefit the Sedalia Area Dream Factory, and the children they serve.  For more information, call Linda Johnson at 660-827-1561 or visit www.mmttpainc.com.  Hope to see everyone there!

Dreamily yours,

Behka
