Over 100,00 less deer were killed in 2013 firearm seasons compared to 2012. In 2012, a grand total of 311,304 were killed in Missouri. In 2013, the total plummeted to just 200,279. These totals are a combination of all the Missouri firearm season.

This week has been great, a little hot, but what the heck. We need some rain, it's getting dry and with no rain in sight for another week, the sprinklers are in full operation and the farmers are praying for rain.
Winter finally made a big encore performance and it was a blessing. It may be a pain and we may complain about it, but the farmers and lakes really need the water. I think this added about three inches of moisture to the ground with both storms combined. We are still well below the norm, but every little bit helps. The storm brought a lot of trees down and left a lot of people without power.
