Sedalia’s Halloween Events: Friday, October 31, 2014
Here's a look at all the local events that will be happening especially for Halloween.
There will be a blood drive on October 31 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the State Fair Community College, in the Heckart Building, 3201 West 16th.
The American Red Cross reminds eligible donors that it’s never too late – or too early – to make blood donation a lifelong habit. Donors with all blood types are needed, especially O negative, A negative and B negative.To make an appointment to donate blood, eligible donors are encouraged to download the new Red Cross Blood Donor App from app stores or text BLOODAPP to 90999 to receive a download link, visit redcrossblood.org or call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767).
The Sedalia Elks Lodge will be holding their Halloween On the Veranda.
It’ll be on Halloween, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The little ghosts and goblins can stop by the Elks Lodge on the corner of 4th and Kentucky for free trick or treating. If you need more information, call 826-5391 after 3:00 p.m.
The Houstonia Fire Dept will be hosting its 1st Annual Chili Dinner and Hayride.
It’ll be held on Friday October 31st, beginning at 5:30 pm for the meal and 7:30 pm for hayride. The meal and start point for the hayride will be at the Houstonia Fire House and City Hall, 121 North Walnut. The cost for adults is $5.00, children aged 6-12 are $3.00 and 6 and under free. The meal price includes all food, dessert, drink, and hayride. If you do not purchase a meal, the hayride is $1.00 per person and $5.00 per family.
The Lifepointe Church will host a Trunk or Treat.
It’ll be held on Halloween Night from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the church parking lot, 2500 East Broadway. They will be partnering with FCMA for this event. For questions, contact the church at 660-851-0680.
Join the Northside Christian Church at 500 North Ridgeview Drive for Family Fun Fest.
It’ll be in Warrensburg, on October 31, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. They have a full night of food, games and fun planned. If you have questions, contact Shamus at 747-8632.
The New Hope Baptist Church will host a Fall Fest.
It’ll take place from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. They’ll have free family photos, child friendly games, candy, popcorn, and a short video presentation. Costumes are welcome.
Sedalia's Car Mart will host a Halloween Party.
It'll be held at the store, 3303 South Limit, on Halloween from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with free food, drinks and plenty of candy.
