Here's a look at the happenings this weekend!
Here's a look at the happenings this weekend!
Kids, we've talked about Blood Drives before. And I'll admit, I'm pretty aware of them because they show up a lot for my Community Calendar stuff. Well, there are quite a few coming up, and if there's anything I like to do it's keep you informed.
Sedalians can expect a brand new Steak 'n Shake to open in town later this year. Owner Jorge Guevara has announced that excavation is scheduled to begin within the next 30 days. Groundbreaking is expected by July at the 4201 Wisconsin Ave. location with a tentative opening date in October.
We had a great turnout, as expected, for the Grand Opening Celebration at The Donut Palace in Sedalia this morning.
How cool is it to have a job that pays me to take off from the usual "in-studio" morning show to go hang out with some really cool people making donuts, long-johns, bear claws, breakfast sandwiches and croissants for a couple of hours?
The Sedalia City Council met in a work session Monday night to discuss one of the most controversial issues it has faced in years; a smoke-free Sedalia. The council is apparently split on the issue with some councilmen showing a marked timidity on the subject, with others engaging in a heated debate on the subject.
Here are the events going on this weekend.
Kids, today is National Teacher's Day. I think that we all appreciate teachers in general, but I thought we might get a little more specific here.
I thought I'd share some memories of teachers I've had and worked with, and you could tell me a little about yours. I think everyone had one of those teachers when they were a kid, that one that was your favorite. Maybe they were funny, maybe they were kind, maybe they were just whatever you needed at the time.
The Sedalia Area Farmers’ Market will have its opening day of the 2013 season from 3 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, May 7, at the Missouri State Fairgrounds main gate on South Hwy. 65. The market will also be open from 3 to 6 p.m. on Fridays.
Here are the happenings this weekend in our area!
Kids, there are a few events coming up that I keep tabs on through our Community Calendar. Sometimes I'm not able to get everything on the air for a host of different reasons, so I thought I'd mention one event coming up this weekend that may have slipped through the cracks.
