Yes, kids, it comes once a year, and everyone seems to have one.  Mine is today: it's my birthday.

I woke up this morning to a text from my father wishing me a happy one, my sister called, I got messages from my cousin and boyfriend, and tons of my friends and listeners have wished me a happy one on Facebook.  The folks here at the station have also really done a solid for me with a lovely card (they seem to think I'm a crazy cat lady... have no idea how they got that one) and a cake.

While admittedly that isn't a hugely flattering photo, I think you get the gist.  Everyone gets a cake for their birthday around here.  It's usually decorated by the fine folks at Icing on the Cake and individualized.  Mine represents one of my favorite things: Bubble Wrap.  You can't really see it in the photo but that's what those circles are.

So yes, it's a Wednesday and it's cold and snowy outside so I doubt I'll be doing any hooping and hollering for it. After all, 34 isn't that special a birthday.  But hey, thanks everyone for taking a second and thinking of me! I appreciate it.

Olderly yours,

Behka
