Groundbreaking is expected by July at the 4201 Wisconsin Ave. location with a tentative opening date in October.

2 weeks ago The Champions Professional Indoor Football League (CPIFL) made a ruling in regards to an incident that happened in the Omaha Beef versus Lincoln Haymakers game on Saturday night (May 11). The Beef defeated the Haymakers 27-23, but there was a brawl that took place at the end of the game on the field. Eight players and one coach have been disciplined with suspensions ranging from 2-12 games. Names are being withheld in order to comply with employment privacy laws and confidentiality. All players and teams have the right to appeal the suspensions.
At 4:45 this Tuesday morning, the Sedalia Police Department S.T.I.N.G Unit along with other Sedalia Police officers and Pettis County Sheriff’s Deputies served a search warrant at 1804 South Prospect. A search of the residence revealed approximately 1 1/2 lbs. of marijuana, packaging supplies, digital scales and a handgun.
The Sedalia City Council met in a work session Monday night to discuss one of the most controversial issues it has faced in years; a smoke-free Sedalia. The council is apparently split on the issue with some councilmen showing a marked timidity on the subject, with others engaging in a heated debate on the subject.
2 weeks ago The Mid-Missouri Outlaws will finish up their grueling three games versus the top three teams in the CPIFL this week. The Outlaws lost to the Wichita Wild 82-9 on Saturday, April 27, then lost to the Omaha Beef on the road on Sunday, May 5, 68-13. This week, the Outlaws travel to take on the Sioux City Bandits on Saturday at 7:05 p.m. The Bandits are currently tied for 3rd in the league with the Salina Bombers at 5-2.

The Central Missouri Mules fired a final round 285 on Wednesday to come from behind and win the NCAA-II Midwest/Central Super Regional with a three-round total of five-under par 859 at The Club at Strawberry Creek. Freshman Robby Hughey won the individual crown with a 13-under par 203.
