I like my peanut butter. No, wait...let me retract that statement. It should be I LOVE my peanut butter! So when I saw this and read up on it, I thought I'd give it a try.

Peanut Butter and pizza. I always said if I was stranded on a deserted island, my two foods that I would want would be those two.

Now, I'm trying to do the right thing these days. I'm getting older and I'm trying to eat a little healthier. (You notice I said a little!) So when I was going through the grocery isles and saw this packet of Justin's Maple Almond Butter, I thought I might check it out.

I'd read that almond butter was a good substitute for peanut butter. (I can't believe I just said that!) I bought a packet to try, and I was happy with the experiment.

Now I'm not saying I'm going to give up my peanut butter but I think in the future, a jar of this substitute may be on the shelf.

It had a low amount of sugar, just as much protein and the total fat content was about the same as peanut butter.

So here's my conclusion...man doesn't live by peanut butter alone...sometimes there's maple almond butter, too!
