A mental health podcast, Mental Mixology, will host a mental health walkathon on Saturday, Sept. 28 from 10 a.m., to 2 p.m., at Centennial Park.

Mental Mixology has partnered with Burrell Behavioral Health Center and will give all the proceeds from the event to their nonprofit organization.

Burrell Behavioral Health is a Community Mental Health Center that connects with more than 40,000 clients across 18 counties in Missouri. Burrell’s Sedalia clinic is located at 201 W. Third Street in Sedalia, and is open Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m., to 5 p.m.

Burrell’s Sedalia Clinic is home to general counseling services, as well as housing Pettis County ACT and ACT-TAY programming and serving as the County’s case management provider. Additionally, the clinic houses adult and youth specialty services. Learn more at www.burrellcenter.com.

In addition to the walk-a-thon around the park, they will also be highlighting multiple mental health-related businesses in the Sedalia area. Each business will have a table set up at the event for all walk participants can check out throughout the event.

There will also be a DJ, yard games, an energy tea and lemonade stand, cotton candy/cake pop stands, along with much more. Come join us in all the fun to raise funds and awareness for mental health in Sedalia.

Mental Mixology is currently looking for vendors, sponsors and volunteers for the event.
