Winter Weather and Then A Taste of Spring
Pay your admission, sit down, and strap yourself in for the next round on the Missouri weather roller coaster.
Snow returns tomorrow morning, making for slick roads for both the Wednesday morning and evening commutes. A transition to a rain/snow mix is expected for most of the area during the afternoon, but slightly cooler/warmer temperatures could result in more/less snow. Right now, 1-3 inches of snow looks most likely. Snow will gradually move east Wednesday night. It'll be followed by very cold temperatures though, which could quickly freeze wet roads producing black ice. Therefore, slick roads are also possible Thursday morning. Thursday morning lows will dip down to the single digits north of the MO River and teens south of the MO River. It'll be breezy as well, with wind chills north of the river below 0 and single digits south of the MO River. Not much relief is expected Thursday afternoon as highs range from the single digits to low 20's. The cold will be short-lived though with highs in the 20's and 30's Friday and then 40's and 50's for Saturday and Sunday.
