A Warsaw woman was injured in a two-vehicle accident that occurred in Pettis County Thursday morning.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred as an eastbound 2004 GMC Sierra, driven by 22-year-old Miranda K. Marshall of Sedalia, failed to yield to a northbound 2014 Subaru Outback, driven by 28-year-old Malanna K. Johnston of Warsaw around 8:10 a.m., at Highway 65 and Route V, as the GMC crossed the intersection. The front of the Outback struck the left front side of the GMC, before both vehicles traveled off the roadway to the northeast corner of the intersection.

Johnston suffered minor injuries, and was transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center by PCAD.

Johnston was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, while Marshall was not, according to the report.

The GMC had extensive damage, while the Subaru caught fire and was destroyed.

Pettis County Fire and Pettis County deputies also responded to the scene.
