Two La Monte Residents Injured in Rear-End Collision

Two La Monte residents were injured in a two-vehicle collision that occurred Friday afternoon in Jackson County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a southbound 2015 Ford Escape, driven by a 38-year-old female from La Monte, was on I-470 north of Lakewood Blvd., around 4:15 p.m., when the Ford slowed for traffic  and was rear ended by a southbound 2008 Chevy Silverado, driven by a 63-year-old man from Kansas City.

Injured were the driver and 42-year-old passenger in the Ford. Both refused treatment on scene.

The Ford Escape had moderate damage, while the Chevy Silverado had minor damage. Both vehicles were driven from the scene.
