Do you find yourself occasionally snapping photographs around Warrensburg like I do? If you do, then the Warrensburg Budget Cover Photo Contest might be right up your alley.

I don't consider myself artsy fartsy by any stretch of the imagination. However, as I drive around Warrensburg running errands, if I see something that I think will make a good photo I stop and take a shot. Nothing fancy. I just use my camera. Point. Shoot. then maybe use the auto color adjusting feature to fix it up a little. If I like it I'll pop it on Facebook or Instagram.

If you're like me with your photographs, this may be the contest to enter.

The City of Warrensburg is now accepting entries for their 2022 Budget Cover Photo Contest. It's not really a sexy name, is it? Then again, sitting down and reading the City of Warrensburg's budget isn't really all that sexy either. Unless maybe you're an accountant.

According to the City of Warrensburg, they conduct a photo contest every year looking for photos of buildings, artwork, or landmarks that are unique to Warrensburg and the Warrensburg Community. At the end of the contest they pick three photos which will be used in the budget document. The idea behind using these photographs is to foster community involvement in the budget process.

This contest is open to anyone who lives, works or goes to school in Johnson County Missouri. Entries must be received by 5:00PM CDT on May 31, 2021. Winners will receive a prize basket from the City of Warrensburg and the City of Warrensburg Parks Department.
