Voting Results for Best Area Girl’s High School Basketball Team

The votes have been tabulated. Here’s the results of the “Most Voted” for 2016-2017 best area high school girl’s basketball team poll.

With the Kaysinger Conference Basketball Tournament finished, Tipton came out on top in the tourney but didn't fair as well in the voting. It was the Lady Tigers of Warrensburg that accumulated the most votes.

36% voted for Warrensburg while 33% felt that Smithton was the top team in the area. Sacred Heart came in a distant third with almost 13% and Lincoln garnered 5% of the votes.

Of course we still have more basketball to be played. District scheduling will come into play in a few days. Missouri State High School Athletics Association district basketball action starts this weekend. At that time we'll see how far the area girl's teams advance in their respective brackets.
