Versailles Woman Injured When GMC Leaves Roadway & Strikes Tree
A Versailles woman was injured in a one-vehicle accident that occurred early Wednesday morning in Morgan County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a northbound 2011 GMC Terrain, driven by 43-year-old Joyce Hart of Versailles, was on Route D, about 2300 feet south of Red Ribbon Road around 4:25 a.m., when the vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway, returned to the roadway and skidded across the road until it hit a ditch, then struck a tree.
Hart suffered minor injuries, and was transported by Mid-Mo EMS to St. Mary's Hospital for treatment.
Hart was later arrested by the Patrol at 6:53 a.m. She was suspected of driving while intoxicated, and failure to drive on the right half of the roadway, resulting in an accident. Hart was released for medical treatment.
