Two Sedalians Injured in Rear-end Collision
Two Sedalians were injured in a two-car collision that occurred Thursday afternoon in Pettis County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a westbound 2011 GMC Acadia, driven by 19-year-old Ashlin Sandoval-Lemus of Sedalia, slowed down to avoid debris in the roadway on Highway 50, east of Route MM around 4:30 p.m., when a westbound 2004 Ford Focus, driven by 54-year-old Anita Akers of Sedalia, struck the rear of the GMC.
Akers and her passenger, 33-year-old Jerrell Johnson of Sedalia, suffered moderate injuries and were transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center by PCAD for treatment.
The GMC had moderate damage and was driven from the scene, while the Ford had extensive damage and was towed by Don's Truck Towing.
