Two Sedalians were seriously injured in a rollover accident that occurred Monday night in Pettis County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a southbound 2004 Chevy Avalanche, driven by 53-year-old John A. Lamb of Sedalia, was on US 65, north of Flat Creek around 7:45 p.m., when the driver failed to negotiate a curve and the vehicle slid off the left side of the roadway, struck a guardrail and overturned several times, ejecting both occupants.

Lamb and his passenger, 47-year-old James W. Kronk, also of Sedalia, suffered serious injuries and were transported to the University of Missouri Hospital at Columbia for treatment. Neither were wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, according to the report.
