Two people were injured in a two-vehicle accident that occurred Tuesday night in Saline County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a northbound 2003 Dodge Durango, driven by 23-year-old Rebecca L. Defoor of Armstrong, was on US 65 Highway at 110th Road (south of Marshall Junction) around 8 p.m., when the Durango struck a northbound 2008 Ford F-250, driven by 65-year-old Charlie J. Hamilton of Independence.

The Durango then crossed the median and overturned.

Injured were Defoor and her passenger, a four-year-old female, also from Armstrong. The driver suffered moderate injuries, while the four-year-old girl suffered serious injuries. Both were transported to University Hospital for treatment.

The Ford had minor damage, while the Dodge was totaled.
