Three Women Injured in JoCo Rear-end collision
Three women were injured in a three-vehicle accident that occurred Thursday afternoon in Johnson County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a southbound 2011 GMC Yukon, driven by 28-year-old Hailee N. Brown of Concordia, was stopped in traffic, waiting to make a left-hand turn at Missouri 13 and YY Highway around 4:40 p.m., when it was struck in the rear by a southbound 2017 Dodge Ram 1500, driven by 42-year-old Regina N. Harrelson of Warrensburg.
After impact, the Yukon entered the northbound lane and was struck by a northbound 2010 Honda Insight, driven by 55-year-old Lesley V. Asher of Odessa.
Injured were Brown Harrelson and Asher. All had moderate injuries. Brown was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, according to the report.
Brown and Harreslon were taken to Western Missouri Medical Center, while Asher was transported to Centerpoint Hospital for treatment.
The Dodge and Honda had extensive damage, while the GMC was totaled.
Johnson County Deputies, Lafayette County Deputies and Higginsville Police assisted the four Troopers on scene.
