This Could Work…Caffeine and Peanut Butter Together
I don't know about you but if there's two items I probably couldn't go without very long, it would be peanut butter and coffee.
You notice I put peanut butter as the first of the two listed. I know I could drink hot tea or some other hot drink in the morning as long as it had come caffeine in it to kick start my morning. Now peanut butter is another thing. I've always told my wife that if I was stranded on a deserted island, peanut butter would be the #1 food I would have to have to survive, and pizza would be #2!
If peanut butter is the one food you can't do without, your early Christmas present has arrived. You can now buy caffeinated peanut butter from a company called Steem in Greenfield, Massachusetts, reports Boston.com.
If you pack your kids lunch and you make a sandwich with this stuff, be careful...you might get some really angry calls from their school.
Because this stuff has some kick to it. One tablespoon has as much caffeine as a cup of coffee. The caffeine comes from a green tea extract.
According to the creators, because of the recipe, it's actually better at keeping you awake and getting your energy up than coffee or an energy drink. According to the report on Boston.com:
"The unsaturated fats actually create bonds with the caffeine so the digestion process is slower and results in a steady release of energy."
If you can't find it in area stores, you can purchase it online for $4.99 a jar, plus shipping. Just go to steempb.com.
