When I was a kid, my mom made a big deal out of the holiday season. And not just Christmas, but Thanksgiving, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day, everything.  She loved those two months.

Growing up, Justin Moore took his country music concert-going experiences very seriously. Of course when he became old enough to drink in the parking lot before shows he found his commitment was challenged, but he always remembered why he was there.

Christmas traditions come in all shapes and sizes.  Some are practiced by many while others are unique to specific families.  One of the most time honored of these is the opening of gifts.

The end of the school year is here, and Memorial Day weekend is a way most get into the swing of things as a family for the summer. While most will head out to the Lake of the Ozarks, go watch a baseball game or have a family reunion or picnic, a few years ago I started a tradition with my son, and I hope to share it with the whole family.
