The Devon’s Beat 5k Run/Walk will be held at the Lincoln Football Field on Saturday, April 5. We will be having their Second 5k that will benefit the SADS Foundation. SADS is Sudden Arhythmia Death Syndrome are genetic heart rhythm abnormalities that can cause sudden death in young, healthy people who are undiagnosed. The Place at the Lake is a great organization down in Lincoln that works diligently for domestic violence awareness. They provide support, help, shelter and encouragement to those affected by domestic violence. They're reaching out to the folks of Pettis County and Sedalia with their new fundraiser, and it looks like it'll be a lot of fun!

Last weekend, my brother came to visit from Michigan and he eats like crazy. So I took him to what I heard was the best buffet in Missouri: Charley's Buffet.
