Remember on Saturday when you had to forward your clocks one hour? We "Spring Ahead" for Daylight Savings Time.  In the fall, we fall back 1 hour.  You gain an hour of sleep, and then you lose an hour of sleep.  This has never really bothered me too much, I just accepted it and adjusted accordingly.  For some people, it is more severe and a real pain in the neck.  What if you didn't have to worry about it anymore?

The U.S. Senate approved a bill that will make daylight saving time permanent.  The Senate unanimously voted on Tuesday in favor of the Sunshine Protection Act.  The bill would end the time change from daylight saving time to standard time, meaning Americans would no longer have to change their clocks twice a year.

I did have a situation several years ago, where I wish the clocks had not changed.  I was flying back from Las Vegas into Kansas City.  My flight got delayed and would not have left Vegas until about 9pm.  I would have arrived in KC around 1 45AM.  By the time I would have made it to my car, if would have been past 2AM.  Then the time jump so now it is 3AM.  Two hour drive back to Columbia to arrive at 5am? No thank you.

For more details on this bill, you can click HERE.  The House will need to approve this.  If it happens, it will not go into effect until November of 2023.  Guess we will see what happens.  I am fine either way.  In the grand scheme of things, this isn't a big deal to me and I don't lose sleep over it.  (pun intended) Do you care if this happens?
