Sedalia Woman Killed in Pettis County Crash
A Sedalia woman was killed in a two-vehicle accident that occurred Wednesday afternoon in Pettis County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a northbound 2012 Honda Accord, driven by 80-year-old Gayline R. Leafty of Sedalia, failed to yield to a westbound 2017 Volvo Tractor Truck, driven by 55-year-old Lloyd R. Waxter of Fort Worth, Texas, at the intersection of Route Y and Quisenberry just before 4:30 p.m.
The Volvo struck the Honda.

Leafty was pronounced dead at the scene at 5:13 p.m., by Deputy Coroner R. F. Pennington. The body was taken to Rea Funeral Home.
The Volvo had extensive damage, while the Honda was totaled.
Pettis County Deputies assisted the four Troopers on scene.
