Just before six p.m. Thursday, Officers responded to the area near West Main and North Missouri for a subject struck by a train. Officers and PCAD arrived on the scene. They found the subject and began providing medical care, transporting him to Bothwell Regional Health Center for treatment. The subject, identified as 41-year-old Terrell Peck of Sedalia, died while at Bothwell. There does not appear to be foul play at this time.


 

Early Friday morning, Officers responded to the 1000 block of West Broadway in reference to a domestic disturbance. During the investigation, one subject's information was provided to Dispatch. Dispatch informed Officers that the subject had a municipal Failure to Appear warrant. Phillip C. Tindell, 33, of Sedalia, was arrested on his Failure to Appear warrant on original charges of Expired License Plates. Tindell was transported to the Pettis County Jail, where bond was set at $50 cash only.


 

Sedalia Police responded to the 1200 block of South Limit Friday morning for a report of a stolen car. Officers met with Trisha D. Brown, who advised she had loaned her 1999 Ford Taurus to a known suspect who was now refusing to return the car. Brown had made repeated contact with the unnamed suspect through out the next day and the story of where the car was continued to change. The car was entered into local and Federal data bases as stolen.


 

Thursday afternoon, Officers responded to the 600 block of North Engineer for a domestic disturbance. Officers arrived, determining a physical assault had occurred and an arrest was made. Dakota E. Marek, 17, of Sedalia, was transported to the Pettis County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold pending formal charges of Domestic Assault in the 4th Degree.


 

Wednesday afternoon, Officers responded to a non injury accident the Casey's store, 1601 West Broadway. A vehicle hit a parked vehicle and then fled the scene. The suspect was later identified as Olivia N. Head, 25, of Sedalia. Head was issued a summons with a court date for Leaving the Scene of an Accident.


 

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the area of East Broadway and South Montgomery in relation to a hit and run accident Thursday afternoon. The suspect vehicle hit another vehicle shortly before crashing into a tree. The suspects then left on foot northbound on South Montgomery. When Officers ran the plate of the suspect vehicle, it was found to be stolen. The suspects were located and arrested near the intersection of South Summit Avenue and East 6th Street. The following charges are being requested for the driver, Kyle Frederick Gabauer, 32, of Kansas City; Tampering With a Motor Vehicle in the 1st Degree, Leaving the Scene of an Accident, and Driving While Revoked.


 

Thursday morning, Officers responded to South Limit and Tiger Pride Boulevard for a single vehicle motor vehicle accident with injuries. On arrival, Officers located a truck upside down with the driver sitting on the curb. Further investigation revealed two subjects had fled from the accident. A witness revealed that guns were removed from the vehicle prior to Officer arrival. The guns were located in the area. Both subjects who fled were located by Officers and later released from the scene. The driver of the vehicle, Hunter A. Fisher, 20, of La Monte, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail to be placed on a 24-hour hold. Charges of Unlawful Possession of an Illegal Weapon, and Defacing Manufacturer's Numbers are being requested.


 

Wednesday afternoon, Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 500 block of East 4th Street in regard to a case of possible child abuse. The child's injuries were documented and a report was taken. Additional follow up will be conducted.


 

Officers spoke with a victim who came to the lobby of the Sedalia Police Department Tuesday afternoon in regard to a theft which occurred on November 29th. Charlotte Schotte stated that someone had contacted her through Facebook Messenger and told her she owed Amazon.com $1,200 and requested it be paid in Visa Vanilla gift cards. The suspects also gained access to Schotte's phone and were likely to access other accounts. These have since been wiped, and all relevant companies have been alerted to the activity. There is no suspect information at this time.


 

Wednesday morning, Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 1600 block of South Carr Avenue in regard to a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, the suspect had already left the scene. Officers made contact with the victim, who confirmed that there had been a physical fight, but denied wanting to pursue charges and refused to provide the name of the suspect. The victim had injuries but refused medical treatment. They were given a ride to their address and provided with community resources. Officers were unable to contact the suspect to obtain their side of the story, due to them leaving the scene prior to arrival.


 

A theft report was taken in the 200 block of North Engineer Avenue Wednesday afternoon. Casey Wissman reported a known person stole his scooter, valued at $400 and left the area. At the time of the report, no arrest had been made.


 

Thursday morning, Officers responded to the 400 block of West Henry Avenue for a property damage report. The victim stated a known male subject had struck her vehicle with a tool, causing damage. Anthony Lamar Melton, 32, of Sedalia, was contacted and issued a summons for Property Damage.
