On the night of November 7th, Sedalia Police were dispatched to a call for service regarding a domestic disturbance in the 1200 block of West 5th Street.

Officers arrived and observed the suspect yelling and screaming, while lighting an American flag on fire that was attached to the home.  He was detained without further incident.  During the investigation, it was determined that there was probable cause to effect an arrest.

Dustin Lee McIlroy, 43, of Sedalia, was arrested on charges of Aggravated Domestic Assault in the 2nd Degree, Armed Criminal Action, Unlawful Use of a Weapon, and Property Damage in the 1st Degree.

McIlroy was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be placed on a  24 hour hold pending formal charges from the Prosecutor's Office.

This incident has not been entered into Casenet at news time, and there is not a bond amount assigned yet.  More will be added as the story develops.
