A Sedalia man was injured in a two-vehicle crash that occurred Tuesday evening in Pettis County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a southbound 2008 Chevy Suburban, driven by 21-year-old David V. Cosurco of Hughesville, was at US 65 and Rebar Road around 7 p.m., when he failed to stop at a red light and struck a northbound 1991 Chevy 1500, driven by 62-year-old Charles M. Lawson of Sedalia.

After impact, the Suburban traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a light pole.

Lawson suffered serious injuries and was transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center by PCAD.

Both vehicles had extensive damage and were towed.

Pettis County Deputies assisted the Patrol.
