Who doesn't love a hayride? A hayride, also known as a hayrack ride, is a traditional American and Canadian activity consisting of a recreational ride in a wagon or cart pulled by a tractor, horses or a truck, which has been loaded with hay or straw for comfortable seating.

I have not been on one for a really long time.  Looks like I may need to partake in the annual one that takes place this Saturday at the Missouri State Fairgrounds.

The Sedalia Noonday Optimist's annual Haunted Hayride will happen at McKinney's Diner, Outside Space,  2503 W 16th St in Sedalia.  This event has been in place for over 30 years and it is fun for the whole family.

Cost is $5 for adults, $4 for kids ages 6-12 and free for 5 and under.
