Sedalia’s Haunted Hayride Has Been Spooky Fun For Over 30 Years
The Sedalia Noonday Optimist Club's annual Haunted Hayride is Saturday at the Missouri State Fairgrounds. This fun Halloween event has been entertaining families for over three decades!
"It started out at the Haunted Forest out at the old quarry about thirty-some years ago, and it's kind of graduated into our hayride," said Jason Meyers with the Sedalia Noonday Optimist Club. "I'd say the last two to three years we've had about a thousand people."
The 2016 Haunted Hayride will be from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. west of the grandstand on the Missouri State Fairgrounds. The cost is $5 for adults and $4 for children. Kids 5 and under are free.The hayride, a hot dog, chips and drink are included with tickets.
A photo booth will be set up during the Haunted Hayride, and there will also be face painting and games and prizes. Hot chocolate and caramel apples will also be available.
Tickets in advance are available at the office of Ashley Paxton, RE/MAX of Sedalia, the Parks and Rec office, Pruitt Insurance and Vincent's Footwear.
