Say It Ain't So Anheuser-Busch? - Beer Prices To Rise

I have said on many occasions in my career as a bartender and a server...DON"T WASTE BEER! But perhaps, you may want to start hoarding it. Anheuser-Busch has told industry publications it is planning to raise prices again in October to keep pace with rising costs. Benj Steinman, editor of Beer Marketer's Insights, said that between that and a previous increase in February, A-B's markup will near 8% this year — right around the rate of inflation.

The world's largest brewer is sighting rising costs and that there is no end in sight. To try and put it into simpler terms, a 6-pack of Bud Light will now cost close to $9. So $1.50 cents a beer. Nothing can be more refreshing on a hot day in the summer time than sitting out on your porch, chilling with your friends, enjoying a few beers. But c'mon, not on beer? BeerAdvocate makes its determinations by compiling consumer ratings for all 50 states and Washington D.C. and applying a weighted rank to each. The weighted rank pulls the beer toward the list's average based on the number of ratings it has and aims to allow lesser-known beers to increase in rank. Only beers with at least 10 rankings to be considered; we took it a step further to only include beers with at least 100 user rankings in our gallery.
