A Knob Noster teen was injured in a two-vehicle accident that occurred Tuesday afternoon in Johnson County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that an eastbound 2022 Kia Telluride, driven by 34-year-old Brittany L. Hutchings of Warrensburg, was stopped on Route DD waiting for traffic to clear to make a left turn at SE 361st Road just before 5 p.m., when an eastbound 2010 Toyota Prius, driven by 19-year-old Kayedence J. Jones of Knob Noster, struck the rear of the Kia.

The Toyota came to rest in the eastbound lane, while the Kia came to rest on SE 361st Road.

Jones suffered minor injuries and refused medical treatment on scene; Said she would seek medical treatment on her own later.

Jones was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, according to the report.

Both vehicles had extensive damage and were towed by Tip Top Towing.
