A 32-year-old Raytown man died in a wreck that occurred at Raytown Road in Raytown Tuesday afternoon.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a southbound 2006 Dodge Charger driven by Donald F. Hicks, 32, of Raytown, was traveling on East Gregory Road at Raytown Road at 2:30 p.m., when he crossed the center median and struck a tree in the median. The Dodge then crossed into the northbound lane of Raytown Road, striking the front of a northbound 2013 Ford Fusion driven by 79-year-old John E. Wickert of Raytown.

The Charger then struck a northbound 2013 Toyota Camry driven by 60-year-old Deleesa L. Chambers of Raytown.

The Dodge then traveled off the east side of the roadway, striking a traffic light post. The Camry came to rest in the northbound lane of Raytown Road. The Charger came to rest against the light post.

Hicks was pronounced dead at the scene by Jackson County Medical Examiner Amanda Vogacz. Hicks was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, according to the report.

The other two drivers were wearing a seat belt.

The Dodge was totaled, while the other two vehicles had minor damage.

Raytown Police assisted the four Troopers at the scene.
