Two Boone County residents were killed in a two-car crash that occurred Thursday afternoon on US Highway 63.

 

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a northbound 2022 BMW 540I, driven by a 55-year-old man from Moberly, was on US 63 around 4:15 p.m., when the BMW crossed the median for no apparent reason and entered the southbound lanes of US 63 just north of Pinnacles Road, where it struck a southbound 2006 Ford Focus, driven by a 32-year-old man from Centralia, head-on.

 

The driver of the BMW was transported by EMS to University Hospital in Columbia, where he was pronounced deceased at 6:40 p.m., by Dr. Kowalczyk. The body was taken to Parker Millard Funeral Home.

 

The driver of the Focus was pronounced dead at the scene at 4:40 p.m., by Captain M. Stone.

 

Both vehicles were totaled and towed by Slate Towing.

 

There were a total of five Troopers on scene.
