Rain has returned to the area, with an additional one to three plus inches of rain (locally higher amounts possible) expected for locations along and south of Interstate-70.

Much of the rain will fall Wednesday morning through the midday hours, although chances will linger through at least Thursday morning. The additional rainfall will certainly increase any ongoing flooding issues across east-central Kansas to central Missouri and further south, so for those along rivers, creeks, and streams, be sure to use extreme caution when traveling.

A Flash Flood Watch is in effect through early Thursday morning, and a Flash Flood Warning has also been issued for some counties until 1:15 p.m. Storm total rainfall of 1 to 3 inches is expected with isolated higher amounts of 4 inches possible especially across central Missouri.  Stay weather aware and remember to Turn Around Don't Drown.
