Pettis County Deputies responded to the 600 block of West 1st Street in Houstonia Wednesday night to conduct a warrant check. Deputies arrived at the residence, and made contact with a female outside, who was standing on the front stoop. The female, identified as Natausha Renay Martin, 32, of Houstonia. Deputies checked her information with Dispatch, and it was confirmed Martin was wanted on an active warrant for her arrest. In the complaint, Martin was charged with felony Unlawful Use of a Weapon and felony Domestic Assault in the 2nd Degree after an incident in January of 2024. According to the complaint, Martin exhibited a knife to more than one individual in an angry or threatening manner, then threw the knife at a victim, and the knife entered the victim's leg. The incident took place on January 2, 2024, and the warrant was issued on February 7, 2024. Martin was taken into custody and transported to the Pettis County Jail to be booked on the Pettis County warrant. Martin was issued a cash or surety bond of $25,000. As part of the bond conditions, she must have no contact of any kind with the victim, who has children in common with Martin. The report notes a court date will be set at a later date.
