Pettis County Sheriff’s Reports For February 9, 2023

Wednesday evening, Pettis County Deputies conducted a vehicle stop in the parking lot of the Arby's restaurant, 2701 West Broadway Boulevard. The driver was known to have an active Pettis County warrant for his arrest. James Andrew Taylor, 42, of Sedalia, was also known to have pending felony and misdemeanor charges of Harassment in the 1st Degree and Violation of An Order of Protection. Taylor was arrested for his warrant on a charge of Violation of An Order of Protection (2nd or 3rd Offense). Taylor was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be placed on a 24 hour hold pending the filing of charges.
The Pettis County K9 Units responded to Benton County to assist with searching for a fugitive at large in a rural area within the county Tuesday night. Once on scene, both K9 Lord and K9 Cav were used in conjunction with the Missouri State Highway Patrol Air Unit, members of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, and Benton County Deputies to locate the subject, identified as Nicholas S. Littlejohn. Littlejohn was attempting to hide in a wooded area of a field in the area of State Highway VV and Satchel Road. Littlejohn was taken into custody and later transported to the Benton County Jail pending charges of Unlawful Possession Of A Firearm by a Dangerous Felon, felony Tampering With Motor Vehicle in the 1st Degree, felony Possession Of Burglary Tools, felony Resisting Arrest/Detention/Stop By Fleeing - Creating A Substantial Risk Of Serious Injury/Death To Any Person, and Unlawful Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia.
