Pettis County Sheriff’s Reports For February 7th, 2022

In the early morning hours of February 4th, Pettis County Deputies and the K9 Unit responded to the area of Boonville Road and North Maplewood Road for a report of a vehicle in a ditch. Deputies identified the driver as Jordan Taylor Brisbin of Sedalia. Deputies later arrested Brisbin for Driving While Revoked and Driving While Intoxicated. Brisbin was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be placed on a 24 hour hold.
Pettis County Deputies responded to a single motor vehicle crash early Saturday morning. The crash happened near US Highway 65 at Wildwood Road. The driver sustained minor injuries. In Motion Towing was called and removed the vehicle.
Deputies took a report of a burglary last Thursday evening that occurred in the 1400 block of Elm Hills Boulevard.
On the afternoon of February 2nd, Deputies responded to the Super 7 Motel, 5650 South Limit Avenue for a report of vehicle reported stolen from a business out of Kansas City. The vehicle was located. The individual responsible for taking the vehicle was employed by the business. The individual voluntarily turned over the vehicle to law enforcement without incident.
Pettis County Deputies and the K9 Unit were on the eastside of Sedalia last Thursday morning when the Pettis County Joint Communications gave a call about a possible overdose to the Sedalia Police. Due to the life threatening nature, Deputies responded due to them being within a block of the call, to see if they could assist. The Sedalia Police Department, the Sedalia Fire Department, and the Pettis County Ambulance assisted in life saving measures. Deputies administered one round of NARCAN when they observed the female was not conscious and her breathing was slowing. The one round of NARCAN brought the female back to being alert and breathing. Deputies stayed on scene until medical staff arrived and took over. The report notes that the Deputies and the Pettis County Jail are all equipped with NARCAN due to the assistance of the Pettis County Health Department.
