The Pettis County Health Center will be closed for remodeling beginning March 8.

A press release from the Health Center says they anticipate to be closed until March 15.

This closure will include the Women, Infant and Children (WIC) nutrition program.

Beginning Friday, March 1, the car seat program will be handled through the Sedalia Fire Department until the remodeling is completed.

In the event of a public health emergency, residents should contact the Pettis County Sheriff’s Department at 660-827-0052. The Sheriff’s Office staff will relay emergency information to the appropriate staff member.

The Health Center is encouraging residents to take care of getting birth and death certificates prior to the closing. As a reminder, birth and death certificates and VFC vaccines may be obtained from other health departments if needed during the closing.

The Pettis County Health is saying thank you to everyone for the patience during the remodeling process.

Daily updates will be posted to the health center's Facebook page as well as pettiscountyhealthcenter.org.
