Mother Nature has unloaded rain across Missouri for the last 24-36 hours. According to Pettis County EMA Director, David Clippert, three to four inches of rain fell in Pettis County within a period of two hours this morning (April 3). We've had five to six inches of rain since yesterday.

Crews are dealing with significant flooding in Warrensburg. Highway 50 was closed near Lotspeich Motors, and the Missouri Department of Transportation has reported multiple roads closed all across West Central Missouri.

Another round of storms are expected later this afternoon and this evening according to Clippert. The National Weather Service still has a flood warning for most of the area until 2 p.m. and a flood watch until 7 tonight.

Clippert and the EMA staff and are preparing for a busy night due to a 15% chance of tornado activity in West Central Missouri.
