Pedestrian Killed on I-470
A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle in Jackson County on Wednesday night.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that 33-year-old Logan J. Smith of Belton was a pedestrian in the roadway on I-470, one mile east of View High Drive at 9:15 p.m. when he was struck by a westbound 2015 Toyota, driven by 30-year-old Sahar Bryan of Olathe, Kansas.
Smith was pronounced dead by Jackson County Medical Examiner M. Williams at 9:28 p.m.
Lee's Summit Police assisted the five Troopers on scene.
The Toyota was totaled.
