PCHC Issues Press Release on Public Health Week
April 5-11, 2021 marks National Public Health Week.
The following press release was issued from the Pettis County Health Center.
This year’s theme is "Building Bridges to Better Health."
Each year, National Public Health Week highlights the work of public health agencies at the federal, state and local levels. Today’s daily topic is "Strengthening Community."
The Pettis County Health Center works every day to strengthen our community by providing opportunities for community members to learn how to lead healthier lives, obtain services that promote health and well- being, be protected from the spread of communicable diseases, and have safe places for seeking child care, dining, recreation, obtaining drinking water and disposing of waste materials. We work daily with community partners to maximize resources within our community to promote Pettis County as a healthy place to live, work, play and worship.
The past year has been one of great challenges to the health and well-being of our community on many levels. We look forward to the end of the pandemic and returning to whatever will be the new normal with a strong, resilient community ready to face the future.
