Volunteers and area businesses are invited to a workshop in Sedalia, sponsored by the Missouri Association for Museums and Archives.

The association is holding a 'Preservation and Handling of Papers and 3D Objects' workshop on May 22nd.

The workshop will take place at the Daum Museum of Contemporary Art, at State Fair Community College.

Three museum professionals will lead the workshop. The instructors include Matt Clouse of the Daum Museum, Lucinda Adams of the State Historical Society of Missouri, and Sarah Elder of the St. Joseph Museums.

According to a press release from the Sedalia Convention & Visitors Bureau, everyone who attends will receive a Materials Notebook that contains samples of museum and archival materials, as well as additional resources packets. Participants are invited to ask questions about their objects or papers that are contained in personal collections. There will be two sessions, one on papers and one on 3D objects. A lunch break will take place between sessions.

The workshop is sponsored by the Missouri Humanities Council. The workshop is free to attend, however, the catered lunch is $15.00.
